Automation Control Systems Project Engineer

This full-time position, based in York, PA, offers a salary range of $70,000 to $95,000 per year, complemented by an extensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide innovative technical solutions for automation needs in system upgrades and new equipment projects.
  • Integrate PLCs, HMI operator terminals, motor variable speed drives, machine vision cameras, motion controllers, computer & device networks, and instrumentation.
  • Engage in circuit design, hardware selection, BOM development, control panel arrangement drawings, and wiring schematics.
  • Develop software (PLC & HMI), conduct on-site wiring checkout, and assist with equipment start-up.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Department for project analysis and customer proposal development.

Position Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
  • Proficiency with RSLogix, Siemens PLC, motor drives, and general controls equipment.
  • Familiarity with HMI configuration software and industrial Ethernet communications.
  • Experience with Keyence Machine Vision Inspection Systems is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of NEC and UL requirements, AutoCAD, Aveva Wonderware, and Ignition is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
  • Experience in project scope definition and implementation.
  • Willingness for short-term regional travel for start-ups.
